Economy Servo Wire

Our economy servo wire has a lower strand count and isn't as flexible as our deluxe wire, but it is cheaper and still suits many applications. Although it is stiffer than our deluxe wire, this actually makes it easier to work with in some applications. We carry a full range from very heavy 20AWG to super lightweight 32AWG. For most applications, 22AWG or 24AWG is a good choice and those sizes are by far the most popular. If you have weight concerns you may consider using 26 or 28AWG or smaller. If you are running heavy duty servos and have long runs you may consider using 20AWG wire, however please note that our Economy 20AWG wire is much harder to work with using standard servo connectors and terminals.


We only stock pure copper wire (we would never sell aluminum or copper-clad aluminum (CCA) wire). Our Economy Servo Wire is tin-coated copper wire, which means the pure copper strands are coated with tin, adding oxidation resistance with makes crimp resistance lower and soldering easier. Tin-coating the copper is purely an upgrade and has no disadvantages to bare copper. This servo wire is only available in Futaba colors.

Economy Lite Servo Wire

Our Economy Lite Servo Wire is similar to our Economy Servo Wire but uses a much thinner insulation, making it much smaller and lighter. We carry this wire in 28, 30, and 32AWG in both Futaba and JR colors. The pricing below is not a mistake - the smaller wire is actually more expensive to make.
