Economy Battery Wire

Our economy battery wire has a lower strand count and isn't as flexible as our deluxe wire, but it is cheaper and still suits many applications. Although it is stiffer than our deluxe wire, this actually makes it easier to work with. We carry a full range of sizes and can even supply 2,000ft spools. This is a red and black two conductor wire.


We only stock pure copper wire (we would never sell aluminum or copper-clad aluminum (CCA) wire). This wire is tin-coated copper wire, which means the pure copper strands are coated with tin, adding oxidation resistance with makes crimp resistance lower and soldering easier. Tin-coating the copper is purely an upgrade and has no disadvantages to bare copper.

Economy Lite Battery Wire

Our Economy Lite Battery Wire is similar to our Economy Battery Wire but uses a thinner insulation, making it much smaller and lighter. This wire has a tin coating that resists oxidation which reduces resistance in crimps and makes soldering easier. We carry this wire in 28, 30, and 32AWG in red/black colors. The pricing below is not a mistake - the smaller wire is actually more expensive to make.
